Galvanised Steel Construction
Shade Umbrella's engineer certified design uses galvanised steel and stainless steel hardware and has been built to withstand wind gusts.

Anchoring Your Shade Umbrella
The 5 metre umbrella comes with a cage that is placed into a hole in the ground 1200mm deep by 500mm square minimum, concreted in, and the umbrella is bolted to this base. In sandy or loamy soils this should be increased to 1400mm deep.

The 4 metre umbrella requires a hole 1000mm deep by 500mm square minimum.

An equilavent strength foundation may be used such as bolting the umbrella down to an existing reinforced concrete slab that would offer the same tie down strength."
